This is a scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where Harry goes to the Room of Requirement (i.e. the lost and found room) to hide his potions textbook. This one was a lot of fun. I got to go through my LEGO and put a lot of random stuff in there. Lots of elements aren’t permanent, so every time I add them in, they are in slightly different locations. Each building/dressing of the room is completely unique 🙂

Finished MOC: Seven Potters

The Seven Potters scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where Fleur, George, Fred, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny use Polyjuice to appear like Harry so he can escape from Number 4 Privet Drive safely (in theory). This is the Dursley’s kitchen, just after transformation. I thought this would be fun to do because I have so many Harry Potter sets and, therefore, so many Harry Potter minifigs.

I made a MOC vignette of the second Harry Potter Wizard Rock concert I ever attended at Patrick Henry Library in Northern Virginia. The MOC features the Remus Lupins and Draco and the Malfoys. It’s not completely done (Alex still needs a guitar and I might change the flag or add a few more fangirls). Maybe I’ll change out some hands as well. But I’m happy with it as-is.

I made this for my family on Valentine’s Day. It’s a big red heart, our recent snow, and… my family in LEGO!
New Table
January 31, 2010
During the last week of December, I did a lot of cleaning/organizing. I managed to tackle about a third of a my room (and by now, it’s all in shambles again LOL). But one of the big accomplishments was getting my dining room table out of storage and clearing a spot for it. Now I have a place to work on LEGO that isn’t the carpet/floor.

Posted late, but better late than never. Here’s my finished Gryffindor Tower!
My MOC-Card:
From the world of Harry Potter. This is part of Gryffindor Tower as I imagine it might look in the 1970s when the Marauders were students at Hogwarts. Can you spot James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Nearly Headless Nick? Can you tell which bed belongs to which student?

It’s technically not completely finished. I’m still waiting on two tiny parts in the mail. But I used replacement parts for this scene in their places for now.
My MOC-Card:
This scene is from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Chapter 28) in which Harry looks into Professor Snape’s pensive and sees his father and Snape as fifth year students at Hogwarts. As the title implies, Snape doesn’t remember the incident fondly. He winds up upside-down.

Tonight I finished one of the two projects I thought up on Monday: BookCrossing!
If you’re planning on seeing it in person and don’t want to be spoiled, don’t click for the photo!
My MOC-Card:
BookCrossing is a fun hobby where you register books you don’t want any more online and then you pass them on to others to enjoy. Usually, you leave them somewhere “in the wild” for anyone to find. This LEGO scene shows a BookCrosser in action, leaving books all around town! Additionally, if there’s a book in the attached portion of this display, feel free to take it home, enter it online, and enjoy.

Last night I completely finished the Slytherin Common Room!
If you’re planning on seeing it in person and don’t want to be spoiled, don’t click for the photo!
My MOC-Card:
From the world of Harry Potter. This is the Slytherin Common Room as I imagine it might look in the 1970s when Snape was a student at Hogwarts. It is described in the books as being dungeon-like with a low ceiling and green lamps & chairs. It is located below the lake where certain magical creatures live. Can you spot Severus Snape, Lily Evans, Regulus Black, and the Giant Squid? Gently lift the blue handle in the front for a better view inside the room.
