1. Procatha Series

Creation Date: 1993-unfinished
Description: A 13 volume history about a fantasy world and its people. It was my true pride and joy when I was writing it, and it's fun to look back and see how absolutely terrible it really was! :-) It was narrated by the historian and protector of the land Bates Malone, then that responsibility was taken by his daughter Allie Malone(who was originally deaf).

• Volume 1- How the world of Procathia was created and how a woman named Gwen caused the great war.
• Volume 2- Bates serves in the war, and sees a lot of death. His sister becomes an entertainer then a nurse and falls in love with a doctor, seeing even more death.
• Volume 3- Visitors (Richard and Carol) arrive and are really escaped slaves. They complete some unfinished business and become King and Queen(who has a son).
• Volume 4- The queen is murdered and the king refuses to see anyone.The prince is a teenager and together he and Bates attempt to find the murderer (who turns out to be not only the prince's fighting instructor but demonic half brother) who flees when confronted.
• Volume 5- This time the king dies and the prince (Nels) sets off to shun responsibility. Instead, he finds a woman (Lnore) who will become his wife and finds a destiny unfolding before him- to rid the land of the demonic half brother aforementioned.
• Volume 6- Dragons suddenly attack the land. To stop the invasion, a special sword must be located on a remote isle. Bates, daughter Allie, and the King and Queen set sail to find this. They find it all right... but not before Bates slips into a coma, Allie gains the power of hearing as well as Bates' historical abilities, and the half brother returns reincarnated as an actual deamonic monster. Lots of angst and fun on the ship.
• Volume 7- Allie's fighting instructor dies and the dojo is slated to be torn down. She and friends stage a number of protests and in the meantime she falls in love with a lad named Nick who has been her long-time sparring partner.
• Volume 8- Typical teen angst story. Allie and Nick are married and are running the dojo. A suisidal new student is taken in by them, and turns out to be Nick's brother. Nick apparently was not only adopted but the first son of an abusive father he then confronts in a battle of honor.
• Volume 9- Parallel dimension story where the teenage twin prince and princess (Benjamin and Jenette) go into comas and find themselves in a reality where they are part of triplets and their parents (king and queen) are dead. They are all slowly being poisoned as well by their royal advisor.
• Volume 10- Not much of a plot here. Allie is being blackmailed and might be murdered. She and Nick consider children while getting 'in' with both Nels and Lnore as well as their children (the twins and two younger ones just born)
• Volume 11- Contrived angsty problem arises as distant never-before-mentioned cousin of King Nels suddenly challenges Nels to rights of the kingdom the original king and queen were from. Allie sends Nick off on a mediative training voyage (a soul trip) into the wilderness on foot with a backpack and a journal. Allie and Nick have a little baby girl.
• Volume 12- Prince Benjamin finds his place as an actor in the theater croud. He contemplates his role as future king as well as his unsuccessful love life.
• Volume 13- A vortex opens and several scientists spill out. Apparently the entire land was created in a test tube and as it grew, moved to lab room, warehouse, and so on. Now the world is collapsing and they must devise a plan to bring all the Procathians into our world... and help them adapt... but one must be left behind.
